St
George's International School was founded in 1990 to provide an English-medium
education for children of all nationalities.
A truly international mix
of pupils, the school population is made up of approximately 40% British with
the other 60% representing 23 other nationalities. Entry is non-selective and
pupils are accepted regardless of race or creed.
The teaching staff are
all fully qualified with an average teaching experience of 15 years. The
pupil/teacher ratio is 10:1 .
The School follows the British National
Curriculum whilst recognising the international nature of its enrolment and the
special opportunities offered by its location in the heart of the European
Union. |
French
is offered from the age of 3 . Particular attention is paid to the development
of skills in mathematics, science, technology and English.
The school
is housed in its own self-contained premises. The school is a
non-profit making organisation and carries the full support of the Minister for
Education and the Municipality. HBM Ambassador to Luxembourg chairs the
school's Patronage Group. |
