Riverside is an International School for children between the ages of 3 and 18 years. The Primary School is from 3-11 years and the High School is from 12 to 18 years.

Riverside's location is in a picturesque setting by the Vltava River. Its educational programme is based on the British National Curriculum and US Curricular Sources adapted to the needs of an international student body. High School students study for and sit IGCSE and Advanced Level Examinations for Higher education in Europe and are awarded credits and receive a High School Diploma for entry into Higher education in North America.

There are 250 students on roll of which 165 are in the Primary School and 85 in the High School. Approximately 30 nationalities are represented. The majority of students come from the UK, US, France, Canada and the Czech Republic.

Riverside is a school with an underlying Christian ethos and is attractive to families of all faiths and none. The class sizes range from 10 to 18 students.

In the younger classes a learning support assistant supports the teacher. The teachers are all qualified and come from the UK, the US and Canada. All the classes are well equipped and attractive learning environments.

The High School has a number of sporting activities with students competing in Track and Field with International Schools in Europe and in Soccer against Czech Schools.

Riverside is a family orientated school and has close links with the parents. The close social grouping of the parents is very supportive, in particular for families new to Prague.

Apart from the Nursery class, all Primary classes are for the whole day from 8.30am until 3.00pm. The High School finishes at 3.30pm. After school each day there is the opportunity for the students to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
